Antonio Rodriguez was born in 1963 and he grew up in Spain. He studied in Valencia and Milan. In 1989 he founded the Estudio A6 product design firm in Valencia. In 1993 he moved to Milan, where he began working with the Taipei Design Center, Studio Matsunaga and Ugolini Design. From 2000 to 2005 he taught at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Milan.
Antonio Rodriguez has been partnering with Matteo Thun since 2003 when they established an architecture, interior, styling and product design firm, with offices in Milan and Shanghai. Together, they create and develop specific Asia-based projects infused with Italian creativity. Rodriguez’s constant research into simplicity and functionality generates timeless and iconic designs, away from being solely visual or zeitgeisty. This proven competence in product and interior design is based on close dialogue with clients’ technical experts and a constant strive for innovation.
